Application and Target Group
The ICD-10 symptom rating (ISR) evaluates the status and severity of mental disorders as comprehensively as possible in a self-assessment by the patient. In the self-assessment procedure, the mental symptomatology and the degree of severity are recorded on the basis of 29 questions, strictly oriented to the ICD-10.
The ISR is used in routine inpatient and outpatient care of adults. It can be roughly compared with the SCL-90-R in terms of its possible applications and the disorder patterns queried. However, the SCL-90-R is primarily designed for psychiatric patients.
