Application and Target Group
The VDS30 personality questionnaire is used to assess dysfunctional personality traits. It is suitable for initial diagnostics in outpatient psychotherapy due to its goal formulation regarding modification in the emotional, cognitive, and interactional areas. It should be noted that the VDS30 questionnaire is not used to diagnose the presence of a personality disorder, but rather to assess the type and extent of dysfunction. Nevertheless, high values should raise the possibility of a personality disorder. To diagnose a personality disorder, a standardized interview (e.g. VDS30Int personality disorder interview) can be used for further exploration.
The norm values are based on German-speaking samples.
